Excited and Challenged

I have been wanting one of these for a while now, so yesterday I went a bought one for my birthday. I told my sister I must be getting old because I was so excited about getting this. I have already started to grind my wheat and today I'm making bread!!

On a side note Ron said I couldn't make cookies in 12 minutes, I took it as a challenge set the timer, I four times the recipe and came in under 12 minutes. So you really can't use the excuse you don't have time to make homemade cookies, it doesn't take much time.

That's right! I have started making cookies on a regular basis and I love how many just one batch makes. When we fed the missionaries last night one of them asked where I got the cookies from, it was very flattering to have him looked surprised when I said I made them. And you are not getting old when you want a wheat grinder to make bread, cause I want one too, but for now I will just borrow my neighbors'.

A wheat grinder? Fun!! And I am very impressed with the 12 minute cookies! But that can't include baking time, right? But hey, if anyone can make homemade cookies in 12 minutes,it Lydia!!

Love the wheat grinder!!! I was very fortunate to have my mother give me hers a few years ago. Like I said in my post, I had no idea how wonderful this machine was until just maybe a month ago.

Absolutely love the wheat grinder! Mine works fine, but it's old and loud and HUGE. Yours is very sleek and sexy. ;-)

Also, saw what Amy posted- the pics of the stuff you sent her way- you are so thoughtful. Big hugs.

Hmmm wheat grinder...no...Can't think of a thing to say about it. But I wish I had posted earlier on your birthday. Just so you would know I'm thinking about you. I tried the giving post for a couple of days, but decided to wait until April to give myself more time to make stuff and also to not be so on your coattails with the idea.

Ooops, someone told me that it was rude to say what I said about not saying anything about the wheat grinder--a gift that obviously means a lot to you. Didn't mean to be rude, I just wanted to acknowledge your birthday without going into my "raw whole-wheat allergie" explanation. If the idea of an uncontrollable sneezing attack didn't accompany imagining owning a wheat grinder, I would seriously want one too.

No fair I want one so bad. My father-in-law is obsessed with food storage, he gave us probably 20 of those huge gallon buckets of wheat, just sitting there because I have nothing to do with them.
Happy b-day
